WAA Board Nominations Are Now Open

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

Update: The full list of nominees is available at the Web Analytics Association website.

Are you a passionate web analyst? Do you want to drive the direction of our industry? Do you have 15 to 20 hours a month to dedicate to that vision of yours?

Then you should run for a seat on the Web Analytics Association Board of Directors!

I agree with Eric that it would be extremely valuable to have a more gender-balanced board.

Here’s a quick rundown on the nomination requirements (as described on the WAA website):

  • Must be an active and current member of the WAA (your dues must be up to date)
  • 4 years of industry experience as a practitioner, vendor, consultant or educator
  • Exemplify leadership qualities by way of teaching, presenting, writing or dedicating volunteer time to the benefit of the web marketing or web analytics industries
  • Two industry sponsors - people in support of you as a nominee
  • A current resume that summarizes your work and education history
  • A three to four paragraph profile and digital photo (if available) that may be published on the WAA website
  • A cover letter explaining why you should be nominated to the board
  • 15 - 20 hours per month to dedicate to Board activities

Hurry! The nomination process closes on March 8, 2007 @ noon Eastern time.

Please visit the WAA Board Nomination web page for details on how to submit your nomination.

By the way, Marshall Sponder (WebMetricsGuru) has already thrown his hat in the ring - what are you waiting for?

Update: Are you running for the WAA board? Let me know by leaving a comment and I’ll add your name next to Marshall’s.

Update #2: A little bird tells me that Robbin Steif, CEO of Lunametrics and current Co-Chair of the WAA Marketing Committee is also running. Make sure to check out Robbin’s Blog
